How engagements are structured
- Project-based — a defined build with a clear scope, milestones, and a fixed outcome. Best when you know what you need shipped.
- Ongoing / fractional — principal-engineering or fractional-CTO capacity for teams that need senior firepower without a full-time hire.
- Rescue — the stalled build or the system nobody left understands. Scoped after a short diagnostic so we both know what we’re dealing with.
What it costs
Pricing depends on scope, risk, and timeline — and I’ll quote it plainly once I understand the work. The first conversation is always free, and I’ll tell you honestly if there’s a cheaper or better path than hiring me.
